"As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and therapist, I refer many of my clients to Judy for yoga-based somatic work. She creates a warm environment for them to practice getting a sense of their bodies as safe, reliable containers. I've worked with many other body workers and can say; Judy is hands-down, my go-to person for this type of work."

Consider for a moment this body-this physical body that you, that we, that each of us inhabit. It is in fact, our constant companion - in our waking and sleeping moments. It holds the wisdom of our lives, even that which is not available to us consciously. So in that sense, it is an extraordinary repository and resource that is always available to us.
And most of us, to greater or lesser degrees, view our bodies as somehow secondary or subordinate to the mind and heart. In many ways we see the body as a vehicle that contains and carries us through life. We order it around “Go here.” “Don’t go there.” “Do this.” “It’s time to…” “Don’t do that.” And we tend to pay attention to it only when it stops doing what we want it to do.
But what if we related to our bodies differently? What if we allowed ourselves to come into a different kind of relationship with our bodies? What if we considered the body as a partner? a friend? a container & source of wisdom? As a friend whose intention is really to support us always, and in all ways? How different would our experience be if we turned to the body for support and information, instead of just telling it what to do?
At its core, Somatic Wellness practices invite us into a new relationship with the body. We create this relationship thoughtfully; establishing trust and connection in a way that is safe and accessible to each individual.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out and begin this journey.
