PRIVATE SESSIONS

Private sessions offer  personalized solutions that meet you exactly where you are. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed at the beginning of therapy, feeling stuck after years of working on yourself,  or ready to take your healing journey to a deeper level,  learning how to connect thoughtfully with the healing wisdom of the  body will bring support that enables you to respond to life's ups and downs with grounded, embodied presence.

Private sessions can consist of: somatic yoga, trauma-informed yoga, nervous system regulation, reiki, meditation, or a combination of multiple modalities that best suit your needs.

Reiki

Reiki sessions at Somatic Wellness in Denton offer a peaceful space for energetic reset. Sessions are gentle and restorative, encouraging relaxation and release of subtle emotional energies that can accumulate in the body over time.

Reiki sessions can be booked as a separate appointment, or included with other somatic practices during your private session. 

Restorative Body Work

These sessions focus on nervous system regulation, intentional movement, and active dialogue with the body. The intention is to help you tune into your body's sensations and respond with care and curiosity. These private 1:1 sessions are tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Rather than following a set protocol, we take a slow pace and adapt as the body reveals what it needs and wants. The emphasis is on listening to the body and responding to its invitation with compassion and care. This can look like a gentle supported pose, active breathing that releases anger or pent up energy, balancing to quiet an anxious mind, or fluid movement that allows the body to feel free and playful. This process builds the foundation for relating to the body as a partner, rather than a problem to be fixed or managed.

Somatic Yoga

Somatic yoga shifts the attention from perfecting a pose to inviting the poses to reveal where the body and mind need support. Practices are slow, invitational, and adaptable, with supportive modifications  offered throughout.  This allows the mind and body to connect in the present moment. 

You are encouraged to move in ways that feel supportive and notice sensations and emotions as they arise. There is no expectation to perform or push beyond what feels safe. The focus is on sensing the mind-body connection through movement and presence, rather than pushing the  body in the name of performance or achievement.

Private sessions are intentionally calm and unrushed. You can expect:

  • A quiet, welcoming environment
  • Clear invitations encouraging physical, mental & emotional awareness
  • Choice and flexibility throughout
  • No prior experience with somatic practices or yoga is required.
  • There is no need for specific equipment or yoga clothing

CLASSES

I offer small yoga and meditation classes in Denton designed to support compassionate awareness, regulation, and connection. All classes are intentionally limited in size to allow for presence, choice, and a calm environment.

Sunday Reset: Yoga & Meditation

  • 9:30 - 10:45AM
  • 11am - 12:15
  • 75 minutes
  • Calm, integrated practice to reset energies and intentions for the week ahead.
  • $35 per person
  • Small class: 4 participants

Monday Evening Restorative Yoga

  • Gentle pace, prop-supported poses
  • 6:00-7:15 pm
  • Price: $35
  • Small class: 4 participants

Monday Evening Meditation for Women

  • 7:30 - 8:15 pm
  • Guided group meditation exploring different meditation techniques while fostering connection & community
  • Price: Donation based offering

Judy's class is a wonderful balance of traditional yoga poses and mindfulness that culminates into beautiful body awareness.
